While the rest of his team members are busy reaching out to voters as part of their election campaign in Uttarakhand, the veteran Gandhian has sent a stern warning to all the aspirants willing to contest in the upcoming civic and zilla parishad elections.
On Saturday, Hazare, through his lawyer Milind Pawar, has warned that his picture or name should not be used either in the manifestoes or for campaigning.
In this regard, a resolution was passed at Ralegan Siddhi in June last year. But, after receiving complaints that Hazare's images are being used for electoral campaigns, the social activist decided to appeal once again.
Pawar stated that if aspirants are found using Hazare's name or image in the electioneering process, legal action would be taken against them.
